Commissioned two tier wedding cake, base layer is a mature rich fruit cake, top tier is a maderia filled with raspberry jam and buttercream. I like the idea of having different types of cake for each layer in particular having sponge layers for kids. My brief for this cake was a red heart shape, the indented design of random hearts was my take on the traditional cornelli finish.
